What is Eyedream

Eyedream is a vision therapy that brings a modern approach to a technique known as
orthokeratology. Eyedream provides clear comfortable vision without the need to wear contact lenses during the day. No more restrictions on how long you wear lenses, no more irritations in dry atmospheres in front of the computer or at the end of a long day.

Exciting news for Eyedream wearers, especially children.

show that wearing Eyedream lenses can have a stabilising effect on myopic progression in children. Im sure everyone is familiar with the seeming need for ever stronger glasses, this can now be controlled and is the only proven method of myopia control

Eyedream is ideal for low-mid short sighted people who:
  • Want clear natural vision all day, every day.
  • Find soft contact lenses are not always comfortable, especially in the evenings.
  • Are active sports enthusiasts.
  • Have thought about refractive (laser) surgery but are concerned with the risks.

So how is this possible?

Eyedream is a specially designed contact lens that you wear overnight that gently reshapes the front (cornea) of your eye to alter the eyes focus until it is effectively normal and you can see clearly through the day.  You will see the effects after only 1 night of use with full effect after a week.

Click the Youtube link to see a short presentation from No 7 contact lenses explaining how it works.

Currently eyedream is suitable for short-sighted prescriptions of -0.75 to -4.50D and astigmatism of up to -2.50D

With Eyedream you will benefit from:

  • Freedom from contact lenses and glasses during the day to do whatever you want to do.
  • Very easy adaptation , only overnight wear is required.
  • A comfortable, semi-permanent alternative for the correction of short sight.
  • A safe and reversible vision correction therapy without surgery.

  • Can I really just sleep and see?  Yes, once the effect is complete you simply remove the lenses each morning and can see normally. Also, cleverly, you will be able to see clearly with the lenses in before you go to sleep or when you wake in the morning. It really is clear vision 24/7!
  • How quickly will it work? After the first night most of the necessary correction has been achieved. Normally within a week your sight during the day will be treated and you will no longer be reliant on glasses or contact lenses.
  • Is Eyedream safe? Yes. Research and experience show that gas permeable contact lenses are safer than other types and also the process is 100% reversible. So if you decide to stop wearing Eyedream lenses your eye will return to its original shape and you will see clearly with your glasses.
  • How is it possible to wear lenses overnight? Eyedream lenses are made with the latest oxygen permeable and comfortable material for maximum comfort and safety through the night. And unlike other contact lenses the eye spends its day with natural levels fo oxygen as there is no reduction from the lenses.
  • How do I try Eyedream? Call us for an appointment to check your suitability. We will check your latest prescription and take a scan of your eye shape using a topographer and then using this data lenses will made at the laboratory.
  • What will it cost? There is an initial fee for the assessment, first pair of lenses, follow up visits and then an on-going monthly charge that covers all further checks as well as replacement lenses every 6 months and any care solutions required. The cost is comparable to wearing daily soft lenses.
